Van Baelen, after applying for the Scorpians replacement guitarist, becomes a guitar tech' for their Japanese tour. He continues working for them whilst the recording of 'Lovedrive' is under way and he appropriates studio downtime to work on his own material. This work culminates in the album Überblicken/Überzeugen which Van Baelen releases under the Lustfaust name through tape trading channels in January 1979. This 90 minute opus is intended as a soundtrack to Van Baelen's imaginary horror movie 'Hiker Meat' though his colleagues mostly find the work laughable.
